Complete switchgear box and harness for El Pac 1 and El Pac 2 electric jack systems, the electric add on that motorises an existing manual trailer jack. This is the current replacement and it comes with the breaker supply cable.
What the switchgear does on an El Pac
The El Pac switchgear carries the rotary switch and the heavy cabling. Two white number 6 AWG wires run from the switchgear to the El Pac gearbox motor, landing on the A2+ and A1- posts, and red and black number 6 AWG wires run to the battery through the breaker assembly. If the switch appears to operate backwards, the two white wires at the motor are reversed, which depends on which side of the jack leg the El Pac is mounted.
Power
El Pac systems use an 80 ampere auto reset breaker assembly, two 40 ampere breakers in parallel, mounted at the battery box. Do not install other fuses or circuit breakers on this circuit. If the battery is beyond the front bulkhead of the trailer, number 4 AWG wire may be needed to carry the current.
