Solar Panel Kit for AM Hydraulic Trailer Jacks

Solar panel kit for AM hydraulic trailer jacks, part 70486
Keeps the jack battery topped up from sunlight, so a trailer parked between trips still has the power to run its jacks. This kit fits all AM single and dual hydraulic trailer jacks.
Why a trailer jack needs charge support
EQ Systems hydraulic pumps are not light loads: EQ Systems specifies a battery that load tests at 150 amperes at 10.5 VDC for at least 30 seconds. A trailer battery that has sat for weeks will often crank a jack part way and stall, which reads as a pump fault when it is a power fault.
The AM series
AM jacks lift 12,000 lbs single and 24,000 lbs dual, with 20, 24 and 30 inch stroke options on a 4 by 4 inch tube. Manual override is standard on both, so a flat battery never leaves you stranded, but it does mean cranking by hand or with a drill.
Other ways to keep the battery up
If the trailer is regularly connected to a tow vehicle, Stay Charge parts 8400 and 8427 charge the trailer battery from the vehicle instead, using 4 gauge copper cable and a resettable 100 amp breaker.
