Replacement solenoid, EQ Systems part 7055
Solenoid 7055 is the replacement for SPX units fitted with the smart start solenoid. Every other EQ Systems uni-directional unit uses solenoid 1444; the smart start SPX units are the exception, and this is the part for them.
This is not a direct replacement
The Motor Solenoid, Contactor and Relay Replacement Chart lists 7055 for trailers as a non direct replacement. Wiring instructions are included with your order and must be followed, because the connections differ from the solenoid coming off. Separate instruction sheets exist for motorhome and trailer installations.
Identifying an SPX unit
SPX pumps carry a DG or DE model number on the sticker, as opposed to the S series or KS numbers used on MTE pumps. Note that parts support for SPX units is limited: reservoirs and most covers are no longer available, so if the pump has other problems it is worth asking EQ Systems about a replacement assembly before investing in individual parts.
