Replacement pump motor, EQ Systems part 3713
The motor for the 2542KS hydraulic pump assembly, listed in the parts books as MOTOR-2542KS. The 2542KS is used on multi function systems, the systems that run leveling jacks and slide-out rooms from one power unit, and the assembly also contains reservoir 2542K, reversing contactor 2994 and fill cap 3330.
Confirm the motor is the fault
Disconnect the wires from the motor studs, refit the nuts, and run battery power directly to the studs with jumper cables. The motor should run, and reverse when the connections are reversed. If it will not run both ways with a good battery, the motor is defective. Remove the wires from the studs first or you create a dead short to ground through the contactor and wiring.
Before ordering a motor, rule out the supply. The battery should load test at a minimum of 150 amperes at 10.5 VDC for 30 seconds, and some lithium batteries cannot deliver the running amperage these pumps need.
