Description
Cube relay, EQ Systems part 2735
The cube relays switch the pump motor on bi-directional 12 volt pumps. Two are used per pump, one for each direction of motor rotation, so a fault in one can leave a system that extends but will not retract, or the reverse.
Fitment
- Used on the following pumps: S100T*5151, S100T*5161
- Listed as the solenoid for the 2727 and 2754 pump assemblies, which use motor 2751
- Two relays per pump
- A direct replacement where 2735 is the existing part
Diagnosing
A system that runs one direction only is the classic symptom. Check for the switch signal reaching both relays before condemning either: the fault is often upstream in the switch, the harness or the control panel. Where the motor will not run in either direction and both relays test good, look at the motor and its cables. These pumps draw heavy current, so a tired battery presents as an electrical fault.
