Description

DV1 directional valve, EQ Systems part 1717

DV1 is the directional valve on the pump manifold that controls the common retract circuit, the circuit that holds the leveling jacks stowed and the slide-out rooms closed. The parts books list it as VALVE-DIRECTIONAL VALVE #8 MANUAL OVERRIDE. One is fitted per four function manifold, and it is one of the parts supplied inside the 2542KS pump assembly.

Manual override

The valve carries a red knurled knob. Pull the knob out and turn it a quarter turn and it stays in the open position, which is what allows a system to be moved by hand or a hose routing test to be run. Shift it with your fingers only, no tools. When you are finished, rotate the knob until it snaps back to the normal position. Leaving DV1 open lets jacks and slide-out rooms drift down from the stowed position.

Identify your valve first

Look at the valve on the pump manifold. A red knob with three rows of holes is the 1717 DV1 and takes valve 1717 with coil 1746 as a direct replacement. A red knob with one row of holes is the 1745 DV2, and a 1716 or 1131 cartridge valve is the older style; none of those three can be replaced by the valve alone, they need valve and coil kit 7827.

Order coil 1746 with this valve. The coil is the electrical half and the two are replaced as a pair.
