RV Stabi-lizer controller 3424, replacement
Replacement controller for the EQ Systems RV Stabi-lizer system. The controller is the black box that drives the stabilizer leg motors; the switch panel the operator presses is part 3425.
Mounting
The controller mounts in close proximity to the battery, and it is not weather resistant, so it must go somewhere protected: a sealed baggage compartment, a cabinet inside the living area, or under the dash. Check that it is properly secured and that the plug connections are free from corrosion.
Setting leg force
The controller drives each leg through a color coded motor harness, gray and pink for leg 1 and purple and brown for leg 2. Either harness can go to either leg, but note which color goes where: the dials on the controller set the output to each leg, and a higher number applies greater lifting force to that leg. That is how a coach with a slide room extended is brought to a more level state.
Before replacing it
If nothing operates, verify the power switch is on and check for a disable interlock, since extend is denied with the ignition key on or the park brake released. Then confirm power and ground reach the controller, and voltage reaches the control panel. If power and ground reach the motor connectors when the switch is activated and a leg still will not run, the motor gearbox may be bad or the jack may be jammed, not the controller. In extreme cold the legs can be frozen in place.
Verify compatibility before ordering
EQ Systems has built a number of controller versions and they are not interchangeable across every system. Check your original equipment before purchasing, either through the support section or by calling EQ Systems at 800-846-9659 with the number printed on the controller you are replacing.
