Rocker Switch #1557
$26.52
Rocker switch, EQ Systems part 1557
The rocker is the switch you press to run the jacks. Battery voltage arrives at its center terminals, and pressing it one way sends voltage to two outer terminals while pressing it the other way sends voltage to the other two. That is what reverses the pump. Switch only: it does not include the switch box or the wiring harness.
Will this fit your switchgear
- Yes, for later model switch and harness assemblies using a rocker style switch with a square four pin connector
- No, for older assemblies with a toggle style switch or a round connector. Parts are not available for those and the complete switch and harness assembly has to be replaced
Testing the old switch
Check that battery voltage reaches the center terminals. On systems fitted with a key switch that voltage passes through the key switch first, and it comes originally from the battery terminal on the motor solenoid. Then press the switch each way and confirm voltage appears on two outer terminals in one direction and the other two in the other. If both directions test good, the fault is in the wiring or harness between the switch and the pump. Not every system has a key switch.
