Key Tumbler #7463
$28.67
Key tumbler, EQ Systems part 7463
The key switch is the lock out for the jack switchgear, supplied with two keys. Keyed switchgear is offered specifically to prevent unauthorized use of a lifting system, which matters on a trailer left unattended.
How it sits in the circuit
Battery voltage reaches the key switch from the battery terminal on the motor solenoid. Turning the key on passes that voltage through to the center terminals of the rocker switch. With the key off, pressing the rocker does nothing. Not every system was built with a key switch.
Diagnosing a dead system
Check for battery voltage at one key switch terminal first. If there is none, trace the wiring back through the harness to the pump. If voltage is present but does not pass through when the key is turned on, the tumbler is the fault. Supplied with two keys.
