AM and CM series hydraulic cylinder, 24" stroke, EQ Systems part 1179EQ
Replacement hydraulic cylinder for the AM series tube in tube jack with a 24" stroke. The cylinder is the working part inside the square outer tube: the outer tube, brackets and foot stay on the trailer and the cylinder is what is replaced when a jack loses pressure, leaks, or will not hold.

Identifying the right cylinder
Cylinders are identified by the outer tube of the jack, not by the bracket. Jacks of the same size can carry different brackets and still take the same cylinder. Measure the square dimension of the outer tube and its length: a 4" square tube 32 1/2" long is the 24" stroke AM.
Other strokes on the same 4" outer tube: 16" stroke is part 1140, outer tube 24 1/2" long; 20" stroke is part 1480, outer tube 28 1/2" long; 30" stroke is part 1481, outer tube 38 1/2" long; 42" stroke is part 1160, outer tube 50 1/2" long.
Check your fittings before ordering
Older cylinders were built with NPTF fittings and current production uses SAE. On an SAE fitting there are no threads exposed between the cylinder body and the hex; on an NPTF fitting the threads are exposed. This cylinder has been supplied with both types over its life. If your jack has NPTF fittings, call EQ Systems at 800-846-9659 before ordering so the correct replacement fittings go out with the cylinder.
