(4) Leg Switches Kit #7093
$317.26
Leg switch upgrade kit, four switches, EQ Systems part 7093
Kit 7093 replaces the plunger style leg switches on a four jack system.
What a leg switch does
The leg switch sits at the bottom of the jack cylinder on the jack mounting plate and reports whether that jack is down. When the foot extends away from the stowed position the plunger extends and the switch closes, grounding the leg switch wire and lighting the jack down indicator on the control panel. When the foot retracts it presses the plunger, the switch opens and the light goes out. On a four point system there is one on each leg.
Check the foot before fitting a new switch
A missing jack foot will not operate the leg switch at all, and a bent or distorted foot may not activate it properly. A foot bent upward can damage or destroy the switch, so a new switch fitted under a damaged foot will fail again.
What is in the kit, per leg

- Six inch leg switch pigtail, part 6500
- Leg switch clip, part 1550
- Leg switch screws, part 1413

Installation in outline
Extend the jack four to five inches. Unplug the boot and connector from the old switch, remove the two screws holding it and take it off. Mount the new switch and clip using the new screws. Cut off the existing harness plug, crimp the new six inch pigtail to the coach harness and heat shrink the connectors; wire colors do not need to match. Pull the harness up behind the jack mounting plate leaving some slack and secure the excess with the supplied cable tie at the top of the plate. Then retract and extend the jack and confirm the panel light goes out when the jack is retracted and comes on when it is extended.
