Stay Charge, truck and trailer harness kit, part 8400
Stay Charge keeps the trailer battery charged from the tow vehicle, so the hydraulic jacks have power when you arrive. A trailer that sits between trips, or that runs its jacks repeatedly on setup, can flatten a battery quickly, and EQ Systems hydraulic pumps need real current.

Which kit to order
Part 8400 is the harness for both truck and trailer. Part 8427 is the harness for the tow vehicle with a quick connect jumper cable harness instead, with a 25 ft truck harness and 12 ft jumper cables. Order 8400 if you are wiring both vehicle and trailer, and 8427 if you want the jumper cable option.
Why battery condition matters on a hydraulic system
EQ Systems specifies a battery that load tests at a minimum of 150 amperes at a minimum of 10.5 VDC for at least 30 seconds. Below about 11 volts an Auto-Level control panel starts to misbehave, and at 10.5 volts it stops. Some lithium batteries cannot supply the running amperage and surge these pumps draw, so check with the battery supplier.
