It is used on some two leg systems, where the operator selects the function by turning the valve instead of pressing a switch.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eHow a manual twist valve is operated\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003ePull the red knurled knob out and turn it a quarter turn. The knob stays in the out position, holding the valve open so the jacks can be run on the manual override. Shift it with your fingers only: do not use pliers or any other tool on the knob.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eReturn it when you are done\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eRotate the knob until it snaps back to the normal position.
