It reads the level sensor, decides which jack to move and for how long, and switches the valve coils and the pump motor to get there. The keypad or switch panel the operator touches is a separate part.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eSet the Null after fitting a new controller\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eA replacement controller 2745U does not know where level is on your coach. After installation the Null has to be set, which teaches the system the level position the operator wants. The procedure is in the owner manual for your system and there is a video in the support section of the EQ Systems site. Auto-Level will not work correctly until this is done.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eVoltage matters more than people expect\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eBefore condemning a controller 2745U, check voltage. Measured at the control panel it should not fall below 11 volts during operation, and at 10.5 volts the panel stops Auto-Level altogether. Auto-Level needs more voltage than manual control, so a coach that still runs the jacks manually but refuses to auto level is often a battery problem rather than a controller problem. The control panel has a low voltage light that comes on below about 10.5 volts and stays on until a button is pressed.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eBefore you replace a controller\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe controller 2745U, like all EQ Systems controllers, is maintenance free, so most failures are environmental or connection related. Check that the controller is properly secured and that the plug connections are free from corrosion before replacing it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eThis is an unsealed controller\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe 2730U and 2745U are not sealed units and must be installed in an interior area protected from all weather and elements.\u003c\/strong\u003e The preferred location is the underside of the coach floor inside a fully sealed storage compartment.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe level sensor is inside this controller, so it has to be mounted firmly onto solid structure that reacts with the coach, or Auto-Level will not work properly. There is an arrow on the box marking UP and an arrow marking Front of Coach: \u003cstrong\u003eboth must be followed\u003c\/strong\u003e, and the harness exits to the rear of the coach.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt may be used as a replacement for the \u003ca href=\"\/products\/controller-2730-replacement\"\u003e2730\u003c\/a\u003e, 2745 and \u003ca href=\"\/products\/controller-auto-level-2755-replacement\"\u003e2755\u003c\/a\u003e. On coaches or kits that originally used the prior sealed controller, a patch harness is needed, EQ part 6632R, which makes the differing connectors mate up color to color.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eRelated parts\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Auto Level keypad is part \u003ca href=\"\/products\/auto-level-keypad-3103-replacement\"\u003e3103\u003c\/a\u003e.
